  • Smoking and Skincare

Most women are vain when it comes to their physical appearance, who isn’t? I am guilty of that myself but not all women goes in great length to do a lifestyle check. Sophisticated women are labeled to be “smokers” but are they? For a woman who smokes and thinks that they are getting wrinkles all over means its disaster. Very true! Smoking is proven to cause more wrinkles because the skin is undernourished and starves oxygen thus resulting to drying and graying.

According to an article I read “nicotine is a powerful vasoconstrictor and restricts the ability of the blood vessel to deliver oxygen to the skin cells”. Smoking also damages collagen and elastin, these are fibers that give your skin its strength and elasticity. In addition, the repetitive facial expressions you make when smoking, such actions as pursing your lips when inhaling and squinting your eyes to keep out smoke may contribute to wrinkles. Aging can be slowed down, and you can do your part to promote a younger complexion even as you mature. All it takes is a little TLC, but start NOW! The sooner you start to nurture your skin the more chance you have of an age-less complexion. Don’t wait till your chance on achieving beautiful skin goes up in holy smokes!

  • Papaya for Skin

Papaya offers extensive benefits in skin care therapy. When applied to the face, it reduces wrinkles, nourishes the skin with Vitamin A which accelerates the formation of new skin cells, and exfoliates the skin. In addition, it is loaded with Vitamin C, which is an anti-oxidant. The beta-carotene in this fruit protects the skin and promotes elasticity.

To make a papaya facial mask:
Select a green papaya, one that is not yet fully ripe.
Mash one half of the papaya and combine with a tablespoon of honey.
Cleanse the face with warm water and apply the papaya mask.
Leave on for a half hour and then rinse off.
This can be repeated twice a week to help rebuild skin and prevent wrinkles.

Papayas contain an ingredient called chitinases. Chitinases can cause an allergic reaction in people who have a latex allergy. This type of allergy is called a latex-fruit allergy. People with allergies to latex might be allergic to papayas, so care should be taken. If you suspect an allergy and want to use a papaya facemask, apply the mask to a small area of the face and wait 24 hours. If there is no redness or swelling, it is safe to continue to use the papaya facemask

  • Protect Your Body By Knowing When To Rely On Wrinkle Creams

Wrinkle creams are made to get rid of wrinkles on our face. Aside from this, it can also improve the complexion of the skin thus eliminating rough and dark patches on the face. The skin on the face will become smoother, softer and more resistant to damage which is helpful in preventing it from looking older faster.

There is no exact age when you should start using wrinkle creams on your face. It depends on the genetics of each person, as well as the environmental factors that you have been exposed to. The combination of these factors will determine how early or how late you will start developing wrinkles and look older.

There are some lucky people who still look young even if they are already in their 40's. For people who are lucky, it is not advisable that they use wrinkle creams at such a young age. Aside from the fact that they do not need the creams, it also exposes their body to artificial chemicals which can build up and cause problems in the future.

For these people, it is much better to perform facial exercises so that they may maintain their younger looking image. Facial exercises will be able to help them maintain their image without having to introduce unnecessary chemicals into their body.

As for those who are not so lucky and start to have wrinkles and ugly looking skin while they are still relatively young, you can start using wrinkle creams. This is a quick and easy way to get rid of these signs of aging. This works much faster than doing facial exercises which is definitely a good thing for everyone.

Aside from just relying on creams, there are also a lot of other things that you can do to reduce the amount of wrinkles on your face. These are to avoid bad habits such as smoking, drinking too much and not getting enough sleep at night. These are environmental factors that can greatly increase the rate of aging.

Another thing that you can do is to try and live a healthy lifestyle. This involves eating a well balanced diet, drinking lots of water everyday and getting enough sleep. These provide your body with enough time and nutrients to repair any damages to the body so that you will not look old quickly.

Wrinkle creams are not the only solution to looking younger. There are also a lot of other ways that you can do to preserve your youthful image. You don't have to expose yourself to the harmful chemicals present in creams while you are still young to prevent complications from occurring in the future.

  • Simple Understanding of Organic Skincare

When you go to a health shop or natural food grocers, you will find a wide array of “natural” skin care and body care products. Many manufactures capitalized on the label “natural” why? Simple! Who would want to buy something labeled with “extra carcinogens” or “loaded with parabens”?

Of course no one in their right mind would do such a thing. When the products are certified organic, they have to meet the strict requirements by the certifying body and should be very safe for the consumer. Certified organic skincare products are made from ingredients you can understand and read such as calendula oil and safflower oil not five syllable words that doesn’t mean a thing to you. This ensure that you actually know what you are putting on your skin rather than just hoping it will work because of the hype that the company claims it should.

Before purchasing a “natural” product, be sure to research the company producing it. See if they are certified by USDA, IFDA and other certifying body. Find out if their skin care line is toxic free or just made from fragrance which are usually synthetic. There are wonderful certified organic skin care products available so don’t settle for some supposedly natural junk when you can have the best available for your skin.
